The Grill at River City Restaurant

Everyone had told me river city grill expensive, rude,not worth and limited mostly burger/steak menu. Friend I hadn't seen in years treated me Tuesday as she wanted a monte Cristo no one makes them the same she said. I tried the French dip. The pieces were so thick, hard to hold the sandwich, the onion rings huge and best I've had anywhere in co in 20 years. WA state has ones just like this. They even have books for kids to read while they wait Lovely quiet restaurant. I'm going to treat my daughter and her service dog to lunch Saturday. My only concern and it's huge safety issue. The gumball machine in front lobby has gum and bouncing balls in it. Children that have allergies could not enjoy the ball due to him touching and kids wanting a gumball probably don't realize half is balls. These bouncing balls are a huge choking issue and no warning is on this machine. I own a vintage side by side glass vending machine, yes not as cool as this huge one however I would gladly do ate it if you wanted so that you could have 3 other items and keep the gum or balls in your large one to keep kids safe With no holes in those balls children have choked to death in less than 35 seconds

The Grill at River City was just what we needed after a long day of driving. The food choices were numerous, I recommend the burger. We sat in the bar because they had Chive trivia playing on one of the tv’s. Our server was very nice and attentive.

First time bland food over done steaks over priced. Glass stinks NEW OWNER'S. great food great service great atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp cocktail no foul afyer taste of old shrimp the calamari so tender not like a ruber band the fillet mignon was to die for!!! It superb now!!! David and Kim were wonderful hosts. I'll be here every week with the family

Wonderful food and service. Menu items are creative and flavorful. The owners put their heart and soul into this place. **My advice to those complaining about the pho because its not the same as other places would be to go back to those other places and never try anything new again, since you have zero room to tolerate variation in your food choices. Would you have the same level of expectations if you go to a Mexican place and order a hamburger?? Probably not. People bashing this place just because they put their own spin on their food (the same way other places that serve foreign food offer their version of American cuisine).... Maybe learn to ask how somethings made if you're expectations are so rigid and inflexible that it leaves you emotionally damaged to try something new.

Really nice local fare. Interior is clean, decorated modestly but tasteful. Immediate entrance is attractive. Menu is varied with "something for everyone" without being too busy. Simple foods, well prepared. Management is attentive, allergy conscious, and seem genuinely concerned about presentation and food quality. Service was great. Service team was attentive without being intrusive, we never wanted for anything. Food was staged, out promptly, fresh, and presented well. 10/10 Will revisit when back in this area.

Service was fast and friendly, food was delicious. We really appreciated having books available for children to read while waiting. The children's menu was great!

The best restaurant in sterling! I’m here almost everyday sometimes 2 times a day. The staff and owners are amazing, at this point they have made me feel like family. If you are riding through and want a great experience and food stop on in! You will not be disappointed!
